Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working to assist Georgia farmers export extra crops to world markets.
Sen. Ossoff is working to deliver Republicans and Democrats collectively to cross the bipartisan Specialty CROP Act of 2023, laws he co-sponsored to assist Georgia’s farmers and stage the taking part in area to spice up exports.
The bipartisan invoice would promote honest entry to overseas markets and diversification of Georgia’s crop markets by gathering data that may determine boundaries for farmers to compete in worldwide markets and assist them increase export alternatives.
Georgia is a main state in pecan, cantaloupe, watermelon, bell pepper, peach, cucumber, and blueberry manufacturing and grows many different necessary specialty crops.
