Billy Vunipola: Saracens No 8 says he has been fined after Mallorca arrest as club investigates | Rugby Union News
Billy Vunipola says he has been fined 240 euros (£205) after being arrested and charged following an incident in Mallorca on Sunday.
Stories on Monday morning claimed that the 31-year-old was tasered twice by police after arriving at a bar within the island’s capital Palma within the early hours of Sunday morning.
Saracens have launched an inside investigation into the matter, and Vunipola says he’s returning to the UK on Monday.
Sky Sports activities Information has obtained pictures exhibiting Vunipola concerned in an incident on Sunday evening.
After his membership tweeted saying they have been conscious of the investigation, they launched a press release on behalf of Vunipola, which learn: “I can verify I used to be concerned in an unlucky misunderstanding after I was leaving a membership in Mallorca on Sunday, which obtained out of hand.

“I’ll clearly cooperate with the Saracens inside course of and unreservedly apologise for any inconvenience to all concerned.”

Saracens’ earlier tweet stated they might be coping with the matter internally.
