Tate McRae Announces Third Album, ‘So Close to What,’ Tour to Follow

Tate McRae could also be feeling grasping about 2025. The pop star will launch her third album, So Near What, on Feb. 21, then observe it with a 50-date world tour.

In accordance with a launch, So Near What will chart “the journey of rising up when the highway forward feels infinite.” She kicked off the LP cycle with the only “It’s okay I’m okay.” She’ll launch her new single “2 palms” tonight, simply hours after saying the album.

In March, McRae will kick off her Miss Possessive Tour with a headlining gig at Mexico Metropolis’s Pepsi Centre. The trek will span North America, South America, Europe, and the U.Okay., with just a few pageant spots alongside the best way. will open for McRae within the Americas, whereas Benee will be part of her for Europe and the U.Okay.

The 21-year-old launched her debut album, I Used to Suppose I May Fly, in 2022. She adopted it with the even larger Suppose Later, which she dropped in December 2023. Suppose Later spawned two large hits for the Canadian pop star: “Grasping” and “Exes.”
