It’s with nice disappointment that we share the information of the passing of Surrey and England legend Graham Thorpe, MBE.

Oli Slipper, Chair at Surrey CCC stated “Graham is likely one of the nice sons of Surrey and there’s an amazing disappointment that he is not going to stroll by means of the gates of the Oval once more. He’s a legend of Surrey and introduced nice delight to the Membership sporting each the Three Feathers and the Three Lions.

“He made excellent contributions to the Membership as a cricketer, and as a person, and he might be so sorely missed.”

Steve Elworthy, CEO at Surrey CCC, stated “Everybody related to the Membership is devastated by the tragic information of Graham’s passing. He achieved outstanding feats for membership and nation and was a hero to so many cricket followers.

“Our ideas and condolences are with Graham’s household and associates, to whom we’ll provide any assist that we’re in a position to. We ask that everybody respects the privateness of the household at this extremely tough time.”
