Remembrance Sunday parade and service at Brora
A Remembrance Sunday parade and repair was held at Brora this morning to pay tribute to the fallen.
Army piper Colin Simpson, a Brora native who has had a distinguished profession as a piper, led the parade.
The procession shaped on the Gower Road lorry park and marched onto the A9 street operating via the village and all the way down to Clyne Conflict Memorial.
Brora Free Church minister Rev Ricky MacDonald, who additionally teaches at Golspie Excessive College, led the service.
Christine Port, representing the Catholic Church, learn Psalm 46, and Rev MacDonald learn an extract from John Chapter 14.
Singing was led by Angus Millar from the Church of Scotland and David Roberts from the Free Church.
Two hymns have been sung: ‘O God of Bethel’ and ‘O God, our assist in ages previous’.
A minute’s silence was noticed because the memorial clock struck 11am.
Eleven wreaths have been laid on the foot of the warfare memorial by representatives from veterans, youth, and group teams, together with Brora Rangers Soccer Membership,1st Brora Scouts, Brora Main College, the Rotary Membership of East Sutherland, and Brora Group Council.
