No. 2 Huskies Beat Oregon State in Bahamas
NASSAU, Bahamas – Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers scored 23 factors to steer the No. 2 UConn ladies’s basketball staff (5-0) previous Oregon State (1-5), 71-52, within the Baha Mar Ladies’s Championship Monday night.
Bueckers had her third 20-point sport of the season and added six assists and three rebounds.
Freshman Sarah Sturdy had 13 factors, eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and 6 steals whereas redshirt freshman Jana El Alfy scored 12 factors.
The Huskies outscored the Beavers 22-7 within the first quarter.
Freshman Allie Ziebell scored all seven of her factors within the second quarter because the Huskies took a 42-19 lead into halftime.
Sophomore KK Arnold was disruptive on protection for UConn. She notched three steals and 5 assists. Graduate pupil Azzi Fudd, who performed in her second sport in a 12 months, dished out a career-high 5 assists and added 4 rebounds.
The Huskies face No. 18 Ole Miss (4-1) within the Baha Mar Ladies’s Championship sport on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The sport will air on FloCollege and the UConn Sports activities Community from Learfield (FOX Sports activities 97-9).
