Nicki Minaj’s Manchester Co-op Live gig axed after Amsterdam arrest
Nicki Minaj followers have been left indignant after the American rapper’s gig at Manchester’s Co-op Dwell area was referred to as off on the final minute, following her arrest at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
Minaj was arrested on suspicion of exporting gentle medication earlier than being fined and allowed to proceed her journey, Dutch police stated.
Nevertheless, she did not make it to Manchester in time for her live performance on Saturday, which was postponed as about 20,000 followers have been within the area ready for her to take the stage.
They included Imogen Pope, 18, from Newton-le-Wilows in Merseyside, who stated she was “fairly furious”.
“I spent £150 for my ticket and booked a break day work for it, and we sat there for about three hours ready and we bought instructed it’s not occurring,” she stated. “I’m gutted.”
Ellis Day, 17, from Cheshire, stated he was “completely devastated”.
“We’ve come right here, we spent all day preparing, to see this occur.
“It’s simply actually disappointing once we’ve bought our hopes up and spent the cash, and we get instructed on the final minute that she’s not going to indicate up.”
