Met Office issues thunderstorm warning as weather set to turn

Although it has been a largely sunny day within the county immediately (August 31) the forecasting company expects issues to take a flip for the more severe from the early hours of tomorrow

The yellow alert covers cities throughout the county, together with Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Knutsford, Northwich, Winsford, and Middlewich. 

The alert comes into power at 1am on Sunday morning, and can stay in place till 9pm on Sunday night time. 

Meteorologists says say there’s ‘a small likelihood of flooding and disruption from heavy showers’, because of the thunderstorm. 

Different areas of the UK, together with a lot of central England, are additionally coated by the warning. 

A Met Workplace spokesman mentioned: “Spray and sudden flooding may result in troublesome driving situations and a few street closures. 

“The place flooding or lightning strikes happen, there’s a likelihood of delays and a few cancellations to coach and bus companies.

“There’s a slight likelihood that energy cuts may happen and different companies to some houses and companies might be misplaced.

“There’s a small likelihood that houses and companies might be flooded shortly, with harm to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or robust winds.”
