Letby is serving 15 whole-life jail phrases for murdering seven infants and making an attempt to homicide seven others between June 2015 and June 2016.

Mr McDonald informed a information convention in London on Monday that Dr Evans had altered his view about how infants had died on the unit.
He stated: “Remarkably, Dr Evans has now modified his thoughts on the reason for dying of three of the infants: Child C, Child I and Child P.
The barrister added: “Dr Evans had stated to the jury that Lucy Letby had injected air down a nasal gastric tube and this had led to the dying of the three infants.

He stated Dr Evans had “revised his opinion in relation to Child C” and had written a brand new report which he had given to police months in the past.
