Cleaning soap star Carol Royle has revealed her husband of 47 years has died out of the blue following a freak accident.
The 70-year-old actress – who appeared in ITV cleaning soap Crossroads – joined Coronation Avenue over the summer time as new character Anthea Deering.
Royle married musician Julian Spear, son of Yentl and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang actor Bernard Spear, in 1977.
They went on to welcome two kids collectively, Taran and Talitha.
