Burnley: Peaceful message left at Thompson Park amid protest rumour

Thompson Park in Burnley was mentioned to be the situation of a protest just like ones which have taken place throughout the UK previously week after a publish unfold via social media.

The publish, which was seen on each Twitter/X and Fb, mentioned: “Burnley stand up! Sufficient is sufficient.

“Meet at Thompson Park August 7, 1pm.”

At the moment, there was no signal of any protest within the park – simply households going about their day throughout the college holidays and the odd walker or runner braving the rain.

There was a small police presence, with uniformed officers patrolling the park and police vans being pushed across the roads near the park.

A couple of graffitied messages had been left outdoors entrances to the park although after the unique commercial of the protest.
