British Author Samantha Harvey Wins 2024 Booker Prize 

British creator Samantha Harvey has gained the 2024 Booker Prize award along with her newest novel Orbital.

The novel was introduced because the winner at a ceremony at Previous Billingsgate Market in London on Tuesday. Harvey’s e-book is the primary story set in area to win the celebrated prize. 

The e-book follows the story of six fictional astronauts on the Worldwide House Station. 

Harvey is the primary girl to win the award since 2019. Margaret Atwood and Bernardine Evaristo shared the award that 12 months. The Booker winner takes dwelling a £50,000 money prize. 

Accepting the award, Harvey devoted the prize to “all of the individuals who converse for and never towards the Earth and work for and never towards peace”. 

Harvey later added that she questioned herself whereas writing the e-book and nearly gave up.

Talking with the BBC after the win, Harvey stated she was “in full shock and really overwhelmed.” When requested how she would spend her money prize, she instructed the broadcaster: “I want to purchase myself a brand new bike, and it’s going to be a great bike.”
