Bristol City head coach Liam Manning takes leave of absence after baby son dies | UK News
Bristol Metropolis’s head coach Liam Manning is to take a depart of absence following the loss of life of his child son.
The soccer membership mentioned in a press release they have been “deeply saddened by the passing of Liam’s not too long ago born son Theo John Manning”.
They added: “We all know that Bristol Metropolis’s supporters and the broader soccer household will share their condolences and deepest sympathy with Liam, his spouse Fran and his son Isaac throughout this tough interval.”
The Championship aspect didn’t say how lengthy the 39-year-old can be away for.
Manning’s assistant Chris Hogg will take over on a short lived foundation in his absence, the membership added.
A string of different soccer golf equipment and gamers expressed sympathy and condolences following the announcement on Monday, together with Metropolis’s rivals Bristol Rovers.
“Everybody at Bristol Rovers sends our love and sincerest condolences to Liam and the Manning household at this horrendously unhappy time,” the membership mentioned.

Manning was appointed head coach at Bristol Metropolis on a three-and-a-half-year deal in November final 12 months.
He beforehand held roles at Oxford United, MK Dons, West Ham and New York Metropolis FC.
