Boxer Paul Bamba dies aged 35, six days after last fight
Boxer Paul Bamba has died on the age of 35, his supervisor, Ne-Yo, introduced Friday.
The Puerto Rican fighter’s dying comes lower than per week after his final struggle, a victory towards Rogelio Medina that noticed him topped WBA Gold Cruiserweight champion.
American singer Ne-Yo, who made Bamba the primary signing to his new administration firm in November, confirmed the information in a joint assertion alongside Bamba’s household on Instagram.
“It’s with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of beloved son, brother, pal and boxing champion Paul Bamba, whose mild and love touched numerous lives,” the assertion learn.
“He was a fierce but assured competitor with an unrelenting ambition to realize greatness. However greater than something, he was an incredible person that impressed many along with his distinctive drive and dedication,” the assertion continued. “We’re heartbroken by his passing and kindly ask for privateness and understanding throughout this tough time as we collectively navigate our grief.”
Bamba had solely three defeats in his boxing profession and gained all of his 14 matches in 2024 by knockout, together with his world title victory towards Mexican fighter Medina on Dec. 21 in New Jersey.
Jake Paul, who acquired referred to as out by Bamba after the struggle, posted on X: “RIP Paul Bamba.”
