Evacuation warning alert sent to all L.A. County residents by mistake, officials say
An emergency alert issuing an evacuation warning for all of Los Angeles County was despatched out by chance, in keeping with officers.
“I’ve been knowledgeable the evacuation warning that many people simply acquired on our telephones was mistakenly issued countywide as a consequence of a technical error,” County Supervisor Janice Hahn wrote on X. “A correction will likely be issued shortly.”
One other assertion from Hahn acknowledged that the alert was solely purported to go to residents impacted by the Kenneth Fireplace in West Hills.
Metropolis officers from Santa Monica, Lengthy Seaside and different areas took to social media to reiterate that the message was despatched in error.
