Maddie Phillips: A Week in the Life
There’s one fixed in Maddie Phillips’ weekly pre-game schedule: chilli, rice and cheese.
The Brentford Ladies defender says she has the meal earlier than each sport, only one facet of her structured weekly schedule that enables her to be at her greatest come Sunday afternoon.
She balances soccer along with her job at Heathrow Airport, in addition to a busy social calendar that features watching the lads’s first group every time she will.
“I work Monday to Friday at Heathrow Airport, I’m a CTIM for terminal 4. The world of logistics is a bit completely different to soccer,” says Phillips.
“Usually clearly Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday we’re in at coaching down right here [at Bedfont Sports Club] or at Jersey Street.
“Saturday is generally my chill day, my calm down day, usually see some family and friends, get out and be a bit social. If the lads are enjoying, we’ll usually go down and help them which is at all times good.
“Straight into Sunday, clearly gameday. A whole lot of preparation goes into that all through the week. Sunday morning, I prefer to take a while for myself and relax, get myself sorted and prepped.
“Usually at all times have a chilli beforehand, chilli, rice and cheese, that’s form of my go to.”
Phillips has loved a profitable journey all through her soccer profession, beginning with Chelsea Academy from the age of 11 to 19, earlier than ultimately becoming a member of Charlton Athletic.
