The regional authorities of Valencia has confronted criticism for allegedly failing to organize sufficiently for the flash floods.
“There are governments which privatise and dismantle after they arrive in establishments and there are governments who’re pleased with that,” mentioned Gabriel Rufián, of the Catalan Republican Left (ERC).
He was referring to the conservative administration of Carlos Mazón, who eradicated the Valencia Emergency Unit (UVE) on taking workplace in 2023, on the grounds that it was inefficient.
