Cherry Orchard Croydon: Man arrested over animal cruelty
Police had been known as to Cherry Orchard Street at 6.20pm on Tuesday (August 6) and a person had barricaded himself inside a constructing and was allegedly throwing objects at cops.

He was later detained beneath the Psychological Well being Act and brought to a hospital in south London.

30 firefighters from Croydon, Woodside, and Norbury attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police mentioned: “At about 6.20pm on Tuesday, August 6, officers attended Cherry Orchard Street in Croydon to hold out arrest enquiries in reference to an ongoing investigation.
