Brighton counter-demo as Sussex Police stand by for unrest
Assistant Chief Constable Paul Courtroom stated: “Our message to the residents of Sussex is obvious – we stand prepared and ready to maintain you protected and can sort out any felony dysfunction that threatens the unity of our communities.
“I’m equally clear that anybody planning to participate in felony dysfunction in Sussex will remorse their actions. Don’t do it.
“Our officers are mobilised and totally ready, and the ramifications for these concerned will stretch far past the conclusion of any incidents.”
Two hate crimes are being investigated by the drive after there was a menace to assault a mosque in St Leonards and eggs had been thrown at one other mosque in Peacehaven.
The drive stated specially-trained officers had been on the gathering in Queens Highway to assist facilitate the proper to free speech and to make sure public security.
